Analysis of the Link between Metacognitive Beliefs and Academic Health-oriented Lifestyle Preventive Behaviours Mediated by Self-efficacy during the COVID-19 Pandemic

The outbreak of the coronavirus and its ramifications, including lockdown shutting down many learning centers magnified necessity turning to virtual learning, has given rise concerns about students’ their reaction new teaching methods challenges they entail. present study attempts examine link between metacognitive beliefs behaviors that prevent health-oriented lifestyles through academic self-efficacy during COVID-19 pandemic. statistical sample consisted 239 randomly selected undergraduate students engineering at Azad University Shahre-e Rey in second semester 1399-1400. data were gathered using life style test Salehzadeh et al. (2018) Academic Self-Efficacy Beliefs Questionnaire (ASEBQ), Wells’ Metacognition Questionnaire-30 (MCQ-30). Findings indicated are related preventing factors, such as learned helplessness effort withdrawal, self-efficacy. It is suggested that, According positive relationship exists strategies achievement. As well these scalability learners need be trained skills self-regulation self- monitoring planning goal setting.
